REACH / RoHS-EU Regulation
Information about REACH regulation
According to the definition in Article 3 number 3 of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), rolling bearings are products, since the specific form or design determines the function to a greater extent than the chemical composition. Any lubricants or preservative substances present are considered an integral part of the product.
REACH Registration does not apply for products.
There is an obligation to register substances in products if they are intended to be released therefrom under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions (Article 7(1)). This is generally not the case with rolling bearings.
There is also a notification obligation for substances of very high concern in products if they are contained in the product in a concentration of more than 0.1 percent by mass and are manufactured or imported at a rate of more than 1 ton per year (Article 7 (2)). A substance is considered to be of very high concern if it meets the criteria of Article 57 (e.g. CMR substances) and has been identified in accordance with Article 59, i.e., was included in a so-called candidate list for inclusion in Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation (list of substances subject to authorization).
If Kugellager-Express GmbH uses a substance that requires notification, we will list it here.
There are currently no known substances that require notification.
