Interview with Benjamin Küpper, Managing Partner of Kugellager-Express GmbH:
"We are very happy that we have been awarded the FOCUS Growth Champion the fourth time in a row. Above all, we owe this award to our loyal customers and our committed employees. From the beginning it is important for us to be a competent, cheap and reliable rolling bearing supplier. Over the years, we have been able to build many great customer relationships and improve them with a very good price-performance ratio and solution-oriented customer service."
The top list of 500 growth champions lists companies that achieved particularly high sales and employee growth between 2017 and 2020. From 2 million companies registered in the commercial register, FOCUS and Statista selected and awarded the 500 fastest-growing german companies.

In recent years, Kugellager-Express has taken some groundbreaking steps that have had a positive effect on sales growth: A milestone in this context was the introduction of a new ERP system and a complete relaunch of the online shop in 2017. Our online shop in the course of the relaunch, especially with regard to the support of our customers in the selection and ordering process of their articles optimized - an addition to detailed information texts and product descriptions as well as customer-friendly shop navigation are essential for this. An extensive expansion of the test laboratory in the same year has enabled us to carry out an even more efficient and precise inspection of the items we offer: Thanks to independent tests and inspection procedures, we are able to meet the high quality standards that we demand. In order to optimally meet the individual customer requirements with regard to product needs, we are constantly expanding our product range. One example of this are the precision miniature ball bearings that we have been offering in our shop since 2018 for particularly easy-turning applications.
The further development of product quality is particularly important to us: In 2019, we expanded our test laboratory further and added a endurance test bench and equipments for measuring noise and vibration levels. With the acquisition of an optical coordinate measuring system in 2020, we have another state-of-the-art measuring method for verifying product dimensions. Since 2021, our quality awareness has been expressed in a seal from TÜV-Nord: On the basis of our quality management and the constant optimization of our processes, Kugellager-Express has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
