High Precision Deep Groove Ball Bearings of the series SS69 (Stainless Steel)

Special feature of this series: Precision deep groove ball bearings of this 69 stainless steel thin section series are manufactured to tighter tolerances than regular deep groove ball bearings and are corrosion resistant. With their thin cross section, they have considerably smaller dimensions than deep groove ball bearings of the 60, 62, 63 and 64 series with the same inner diameter. In relation to their inner diameter, they have a small outer diameter and are hence relatively narrow. As a result, they can be installed on relatively large shaft and axle diameters, even in very tight spaces. They are very light and suitable for comparatively high speeds.

Internal clearance: A standard internal clearance (CN) is suitable for the operation of the bearing in case of ordinary temperatures and for customary fits. An increased internal clearance (C3) is recommendable in case of high temperature gradients between the rings or in case of fixing the bearing through a press fit. | more

Seals: Rubber seals (RS/2RS) have the optimum sealing action with increased friction. Metal seals (Z/ZZ) are suitable for higher speeds, but they have a limited sealing action as they seal contactless. Open, seal-less bearings are suitable for extremely high speeds and - furthermore - they can be regreased more easily. However, they are more susceptible to soiling. | more

The bearing clearance is the amount by which the two rings of a non-installed roller bearing can be displaced in relation to one another. There are different internal clearance classes. CN is "normal internal clearance" and is the best choice for many applications. C3, C4, ... indicates increased clearance. C2, C1, ... stands for reduced clearance.
