Ozone – which is produced by laser-printers, electrical engines or certain lamps – is particularly harmful to the radial shaft seals. Particular attention has also to be paid to the storage on metal plates, cyclical chemical processes can develop in this case and damage the radial shaft seal. It would be best if you stored the radial shaft seals in the original packaging and make quickly use of it.
