Maintenance-free rod ends — robust, movable bearing units

Rod ends consist of a rod head and a spherical plain bearing. In the case of maintenance-free rod ends, the spherical plain bearing consists of the material combination PTFE/chrome steel. This material combination reduces the maintenance work. In return, spherical plain bearings are more sensitive to alternating loads and shock loads than maintenance-requiring rod ends.

Versions of rod ends

With external thread (SA..C, TSM..C): With right-hand thread.
With internal thread (SI..C, TSF..C): With right-hand thread.

Material desciption of the rod ends

Rod ends with a PTFE/chrome steel sliding contact surface combination: Suitable for swivelling, tilting and rotational movements with a constant load direction. React more sensitive to shock loads and alternating loads than bearings that require maintenance. For low friction coefficient. Need no relubrication, should nevertheless be inspected regularly.
