Housing bearings are a special type of single-row deep groove ball bearings. They have an inner ring that is extended on one side. This means that the ball bearing can be easily attached to the shaft using an eccentric ring or two set screws. In order to compensate for misalignments, the ball bearing can be adjusted by a few angular degrees within the housing bearing. Housing bearings always have a seal on both sides and are therefore an inexpensive, ready-to-install and easy-to-install solution that is widely used in many areas of application.
Common housing bearing types are:
UCP = Pillow Block
UCF = Square flange bearing, 4 mounting holes
UCFL = flange bearing, 2 mounting holes
UCT = insert bearing
